In any case, Terry & Pam headed out of town to go to a wedding in South Carolina for the weekend and I was blessed with the joy of watching Alex & Ryan. Woo hoo!!!
First stop...Riverbend Park with Tiffany and the Mathias boys. It was a gorgeous fall day - remember how late the leaves turned? Looking at the Potomac on this lovely afternoon was like looking at an oil painting.
So, the 7 of us GOT OUT THERE together and had a blast. Here's pic of the whole gang (of kids). I particularly like Ryan's pose...
The best part of this hike is playing in the water at various "beaches" along the way. That's what some of the kids were doing while Peter scouted out a good perch.
Nathan and Alex were buddies during the hike, with Nathan talking almost non-stop to Alex - whether she was listening or not! :D The final picture is one I took in the late day sun as we neared the end of the hike - as you can see they still had some energy to burn. So fun to GET OUT THERE with the bugs!
