Thanks to the kind encouragement of my sisters, I have decided to give this blogging thing a try. When it was first suggested, my immediate response was, "What do I have to blog about? I lead a rather predictable and uneventful life" (that's a good thing, by the way). But then both Jen & Pam suggested that I write about my recent hikes which I've been doing almost weekly since the beginning of September (and plan to do throughout the winter and spring.) "Now that," I thought (and said), "would be fun!" Even if no one ever reads this blog, it would be fun for me to record in words and pictures my outdoor adventures. After all, there's nothing better than being out in God's amazing creation!
Psalm 19 says it perfectly:
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.
On this blog, I hope to share the wonderful truth of that Psalm which I experience every time I "get out there." Here's my first attempt:

Kim, I love these pictures. They look professional! Perhaps there's an added benefit to this hiking thing - another career? Love, Sharon
Absolutely beautiful, Kim. I'm ready to hit the road or I should say 'path.' Love, Mom
